Global Financial Markets and Instruments
This course introduces the general concepts of financial markets and markets in emerging markets. You will learn about the role of banks in the global economy and the key capital markets in particular. You will also learn about market makers and clearinghouses, liquidity and risk management, asset pricing models, asset pricing frameworks, asset pricing management, liquidity requirements, asset curbs and liquidity services. These topics will be complemented by a set of tools and techniques for asset pricing strategy and portfolio optimization. Using a combination of video lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you’ll examine various aspects of asset pricing and portfolio optimization. You’ll also learn how to design and implement asset pricing strategies in practice. This course is intended to help you to understand the dynamic forces shaping financial markets, and to do so you’ll understand what’s going on in the markets, and in the market. This course of study focuses on the issues of economic and social policy in relation to the contemporary world. It will also consider the causes of the economic crisis. For this, we will analyze both macroeconomic and microeconomic issues, taking into account the various dimensions of the crisis.
