Business Strategy in Practice (Project-centered Course)
This Capstone project-centered course offers an opportunity for you to apply the knowledge you’ve acquired to the problem of starting a business. We’ve designed this course to give you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the earlier courses in this specialization. That is, you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the four courses that comprise the Specialization. This Capstone project-centered course gives you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in all four courses. That is, you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the different areas of business strategy, including how to build a successful business strategy; market successfully; attract and retain customers; negotiate competitively; manage talent; invest strategically; and make strategic decisions.
Each of us has made mistakes along the way. What we need to do is to recognize them, learn from them, and move on. That is the approach we will use in this Capstone course. To do this, we’ll need to identify our mistakes and then we can correct them. You’ll have an opportunity to do this in this Capstone course.
The Capstone project is the culmination of all of the work in the Specialization. As you will see, you will analyze a business problem and come up with a strategy to address the problem. In doing so, you’ll learn from different perspectives than we have provided in the course on this specialization. We’ll provide you with a variety of perspectives to take your analysis further. We’ll also give you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in each of the four courses. That’s right, you’ll study and practice what you’ve learned in each of the four courses.
We’ll be visiting different businesses in Pittsburgh, so make sure you’re able to visit all of them!
